How do you calculate the area of a composite shape made up of rectangles and triangles?

Multiply the perimeters of each shape.

Find the perimeter of the overall shape.

Calculate the area of each individual shape and sum them.

Divide the total perimeter by the number of shapes.

The area of each individual shape is calculated, and then summed together.
